Jim Anderson is the Senior Project Manager for Premiere Landscape Services located in S.E. Michigan. Prior to this Jim was the Operations and Production Manager for a top 100 snow contractor for 22 years. In 2004 Jim received SIMA’s Employee of the Year Award and in 2012 a special recognition award from ASCA for leadership, contributions and attention to detail for his participation in authoring the professional snow and ice industry’s written Industry Standards. Jim is also a certified handler of his registered therapy dog Luther and spends time volunteering in hospitals and medical facilities as a Pet Therapy team.

Brenton S. Bean is a Partner in the Atlanta office of Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP. Brent's practice is primarily devoted to representing companies in lawsuits brought against them by employees. He litigates a variety of employment discrimination cases, as well as class action and collective wage and hour claims. He also provides advice and counsel to management regarding employment law issues. Rick is currently a member of the ASCA Industry Standards Committee, holds his ASCA-C certificate and has successfully completed Arctic’s ISO SN9000:2012 with Design certification. Joshua G. Ferguson is a Partner at the law firm of Freeman, Mathis & Gary. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. Mr. Ferguson serves as general counsel for a wide variety of businesses, including those in the construction, snow and ice management, and landscaping industries. James Flanigan is a safety and security professional with close to 25 years’ experience and holds certifications as both an OSHA and USDOT Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector. Kevin Gilbride is the Executive Director of the Accredited Snow Contractors Association, a trade association dedicated to the advancement of the professional snow and ice management industry and to promoting its role in performing high-risk services to society.
Gilbride began his career with GIE Media in 1996, joining the sales force of Lawn & Landscape Magazine, that industry's leading business management publication. He rose through the sales ranks to National Accounts Sales, National Sales Manager, and eventually Group Publisher.
In August 2011, GIE Media announce the creation of the Accredited Snow Contractors Association, with Gilbride being named Executive Director, the position he holds today. Within a year of the association's inception, the ASCA established the industry's first set of professional standards, developed an educational-based certification program, instituted an ISO9001-based certification program specifically for the professional snow removal industry, and has taken an active stance toward tort reform, including providing testimony to Congress about the impact frivolous slip-and-fall claims have on small businesses.

Tammy Johnson has spent over 20 years in the snow and ice management industry. She was the executive director of SIMA for 10 of those years, for a private contracting company for 2 and then as executive director of Snowfighters Institute. When the ASCA introduced industry standards and SN 9001, Tammy jumped at the chance to get involved. She spent time learning the ISO process and became an ISO 9001:2015 lead auditor. This experience auditing manufacturing companies in the quality management standard allowed her to better understand the process that snow and ice management companies would need to go through to obtain their certification. As an ISO Lead Auditor, Tammy brings with her the necessary experience in ISO 9001 Standards as well as the snow and ice management industry. She has now helped most of those companies that proudly have achieved their ISO 9001/SN 9001 Certified.

Julius Pereira is a licensed architect and owner of Pereira Consulting, LLC which provides consulting services to the legal and risk management industries addressing design and premises safety issues and construction claims.
Mr. Pereira draws on more than 37 years of professional experience in planning, architecture, construction, real estate development, construction claims and property maintenance, including 23 years as a facility safety consultant addressing facility safety issues, code conformance, facility design, construction administration, and construction claims.

Denver Preston joined K-Tech Specialty Coatings in 2009 to head up K-Tech’s newly established Winter Products Division. Denver knew nothing about deicers, but that was okay because neither did anyone else at K-Tech! In 2010 K-Tech embarked on a journey to develop a new “green” deicer. The goal was ambitious. Create an environmentally friendly deicer that outperforms the best performing deicers known! Today, K-Tech supplies “green” deicer to more than 200 winter maintenance entities in 8 states. Oddly enough, Denver credits their complete lack of deicer knowledge as the key to their successes and he wants to share what they’ve learned about green deicers with you.

Has been a key member of the WeatherWorks team for 10 years. After receiving his meteorology degree from Rutgers University, he immediately joined the forecast crew at WeatherWorks. During the past decade Rob has grown to be one of the nation’s leading snow and ice forecasters. He has prepared snow and ice industry workshops and presentations as well as participate in industry focus groups. Rob has currently taken on the role of Director of Meteorological services at WeatherWorks and is in charge of the quality and control of all forecast products.
His main areas of research include radar meteorology, snowflake formation, and the impacts from major snow storms. Outside of work, Rob frequently hits the golf links and uses his weather knowledge to stay dry, but not necessarily on the fairways.

Kyle Rose started Rose Property Maintenance in 2003 after 7 years working in the snow and ice management industry. Kyle is ASCA-C, former Advisory Board member and current Education Committee member. Recognized as a Top 100 Snow Contractor in a market that receives 20" of snow on average is no easy accomplishment. Focusing on operational efficiency and span of control learned as a career Firefighter, Kyle has streamlined his company's overall operations. He launched Alpha Consultants in 2015 to assist Corporations in finding contractors that adhere to our Industry Standards , as well as expert witness work in slip and fall cases.

Dave Sanderson Speaks
Dave Sanderson, a survivor of the notorious flight which crashed into the Hudson River, known as "The Miracle on the Hudson" and dramatized in the film Sully, was named to the "Top Leadership Speakers for 2018" list by Inc.com.
Dave was the last passenger off the back of the plane on that fateful day, and he was largely responsible for the well-being and safety of others, risking his own life in frigid water to help other passengers off the plane. Despite the hazards to himself, Sanderson thought only of helping others and emerged from the wreckage with a mission: to encourage others to do the right thing.
Since the Miracle on the Hudson, Dave has built a career traveling the globe teaching personal leadership skills. Currently, Sanderson averages over 100 speeches a year for major corporations across the United States as well as overseas.

For the last 20 years Joe, along with his two siblings have turned their once mid-size family business into one of the top snow and ice management providers in the Northeast. Joe’s strong working knowledge of snow and ice operations combined with his vast contract writing experience makes him a highly respected voice in the industry today. Stephanie is President of Sauers, Inc in Philadelphia, PA. Over the last 20 years, the Sauers siblings have streamlined their business to be a top snow and ice management provider for the Northeast. Stephanie has led the technology charge for advancement in all areas related to snow and ice management, which has resulted in greater efficiency for her own organization’s Systems and Processes. Peter Smolka is one of the two Founders of Everest Snow Management, which was established in 2001. He is a true entrepreneur and a visionary that offers clear insight for the direction of the company. Peter takes a hands-on approach to his business, always challenging the company to ask, “What worked, what didn’t work and what would we change, if we could do it again”. In 1995 Peter started with investing $500 in a mower, a weed waker, a broom and two thousand marketing flyers. He was off on a journey that would end with he and his wife growing Everest Snow Management to a constantly evolving, regional snow plowing and ice control company. One of the pivotal moments in the company was when Peter decided to invest in developing a proprietary software, which enabled Everest to grow exponentially over the last 16 years. Through consistent training and mentorship, Jason has furthered his understanding and expertise of commercial insurance, specifically snow and ice management with the help of the ASCA. After two years in the agency, he was promoted to Regional VP and has developed relationships with clients in multiple states along the northern part of the country.
